Susan E. Lee - Founder
Susan E. Lee is the Founder of the Broadway Education Alliance Inc. For over three decades, she has been the architect of many cross-industry initiatives that have helped modernize Broadway’s marketing practices. In 1995, she founded Camp Broadway®, Broadway’s original enrichment program for theater-loving kids, which is the recipient of a 2016 special Drama Desk Award for its contribution to the sector. From 2005-2015, she was the Chief Marketing Officer for The Nederlander Organization, where she launched Audience Rewards, Broadway’s official loyalty program (now serving 3+ million theatergoers); the InTheater Network, BroadwayDirect.com, and co-founded The National High School Musical Theatre Awards, aka The Jimmy’s Awards. BEA continues to produce The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance, the Greater New York Regional Awards of the national program. (slee@bealliance.org)
Brian W. Curran
Brian W. Curran draws upon over 30 years of practical financial management experience, primarily in the marketing services industry. Brian has mentored entrepreneurs and leadership teams of creative and service businesses of all sizes and maturity, from start-ups to established global enterprises, guiding them through their strategic development and operational optimization. His passion for talent development, and his belief in the value of life skills developed through the performing arts, drive his long-term involvement to the building of Broadway Education Alliance, and supporting innovative business solutions in the sector.


Theo Lencicki - Artistic Director
Theo Lencicki is a professional actor, director, choreographer, and arts educator, and the Artistic Director for the Broadway Education Alliance. He has performed at many regional and international venues, and across the United States on four National Broadway Tours, including Hairspray, A Chorus Line, Young Frankenstein, and as Riff in West Side Story. Theo is a rostered artist with the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts and was recognized for his professional work and advocacy for arts education as Artist of the Year in 2017. He has staged numerous performance opportunities for young artists, including The National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmy’s), the MACY’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the NY Pops Gala at Carnegie Hall, Camp Broadway Mainstage, and events at 54 Below and on Broadway!

Taylor Mattes - Program Manager
Taylor Mattes (she/her) is a dynamic arts administration and fundraising professional based in New York City. She holds a degree in stage management from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she discovered her love of working in educational theatre. She recently served as the Community Engagement Coordinator at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, where she inspired students to use their artistic voices to effect real change. Taylor also co-founded the volunteer organization The Golden Gamers, which fundraises annually for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through livestreamed 24-hour gaming marathons. She is thrilled to work with the Broadway Education Alliance to provide educational arts opportunities for students around the country.
Jennifer Buritica-Lopez - Communications Manager
Jennifer Buritica-Lopez (she/her), a graduate of Rutgers University, is a communications and marketing professional with a passion for using digital tools to spark meaningful change. As a Communications Manager, she brings a sharp eye for strategy and a deep understanding of social media to her work, using insights to craft narratives that engage, inspire, and mobilize. Jennifer is thrilled to help provide educational arts opportunities and strongly believes that access to the arts is essential to building creativity, confidence, and community. Outside of work, Jennifer is an avid music lover, DIY enthusiast, lifelong bookworm, and digital native.
